The Porsche Classic Restoracing Championship is returning in 2019. Following the success Porsche Centre Swindon achieved in 2018, we are delighted to announce that we will be returning to the race circuit for the next series. Our 986 Boxster will be seen again for rounds at Donington Park, Brands Hatch and Silverstone.
By continuing to race the 986 Boxster this year, not only can we celebrate a model that played a critical role in Porsche history, but also build ties with a new generation of Porsche owners.
We will be following the journey of the Classic Boxster from start to finish in preparation for the Restoracing Championship. Follow us on Facebook for regular updates.
To mark 70 years of Porsche, Project 20 has seen 20 thorough restorations carried out on models from the classic Porsche range. The models ranged from a 914 1.7 manual coupé from 1970 to a 986 Boxster from 2000.
As an official Porsche Classic Partner, Porsche Centre Swindon was delighted to work on two of the vehicles, giving them the highest levels of care and attention. At the NEC Classic Car Show in November 2018 the team was delighted to showcase these restorations.
As part of Project 20, Porsche Centre Swindon fully restored a 911 SC from 1982 and a 968 Sport from 1996. The two cars needed various levels of renovation, but both were finished to the most exacting standards.
Porsche Classic offers an incredible 52,000 different parts that cover a multitude of models in the Porsche back catalogue.
Many owners want their Porsche to remain classic, but Porsche Centre Swindon can now offer quality manufacturer upgrades so owners can benefit from the latest technology in a style to suit their cars, such as a satellite navigation system to fit older models. Regardless of mileage, you should change the engine oil of your classic Porsche once a year as short trips are particularly detrimental to the oil. Frequently starting the engine when it is cold causes more fuel, combustion products and moisture to get into the oil.
Porsche Classic Motoroil has been specially designed by Porsche to suit the specific characteristics and demands of an air-cooled flat engine to ensure optimal performance.Discover more

. From 01 January 2019, all fuel consumption figures are shown as determined in accordance with WLTP. CO₂ figures will be shown as NEDC-equivalent values, as CO₂ based taxation will continue to be based on an NEDC value (derived from WLTP) until 06 April 2020.
