If like many others you are spending January educating yourself on the importance of making sustainable and environmentally conscious decisions, the chances are you have probably stumbled across the growing movement of Veganuary. Many people think of Veganuary as a purely diet-based campaign designed to introduce new eating habits, but what if we told you that Porsche have a new and innovative way that you can engage with a vegan lifestyle.
Since the release of Porsche’s first fully electric sports car, the Taycan in 2020, the popularity and demand for its Vegan, leather-free interior has only grown. Manufactured from recycled materials, this sustainable interior option offers a stylish, refined and unique finish that can be configured with good taste and a clear conscience. Porsche’s leather-free interior seeks to normalise the use of sustainable materials within our luxury products. By integrating “Race-Tex”, it is possible to continue the eco minded theme. Manufactured from high-quality microfibre material that partially consists of recycled polyester fibres, the production of Race-Tex boasts 80% less CO2 production compared to normal materials.
The leather free interior is currently only available on Taycan models, with five variations to choose from. Included within the standard interiors we have Black leather-free, Slate Grey leather-free and Graphite Blue leather-free interior. If you are after something with a little more variation, the black/slate grey or Graphite Blue/Slate Grey two-tone leather-free interior can be configured for a small additional cost.
Whether you’re participating in Veganuary or just looking for new ways to engage with an earth-first future, consider Porsche’s leather free interior on your next car.

*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
