In the mid 90’s Porsche embarked on the pursuit of the ‘Third Porsche’. This was to be a car that would radically redirect the known successes of the Porsche brand by introducing a unique vehicle to the market. Following the North American trend Porsche decided to begin development of an off-road vehicle that would not only compete with other sports orientated SUVs but also challenge their top competitors in the off-road segment. Initially dubbed ‘project Colorado’ the early concepts of the Cayenne were born, and it has subsequently taken the world by storm.
The first-generation Cayenne (E1) debuted in 2002 and was released with the addition of new technology that has since been developed within other Porsche models. Air Suspension and PASM – Porsche Active Suspension Management, a system that constantly adapts and controls the damping force of the suspension to help aid performance on a variety of road surfaces. The second-generation of Cayenne (E2) introduced a whole new styling upgrade and the integration of a new and improved central consol. Porsche continued with its introduction of innovative technology by releasing a new range of E-Hybrid models which remain consistently desirable today. By the time the Cayenne (E3) was released in 2019, it was clear that the E-Hybrid models were capable of remarkable performance and fuel economy combined. In every day driving modes the most powerful model in the line-up, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid which features a 680bhp, 4.0L V8 and additional electric motor could deliver up to 60 MPG and had the ability to travel from 0-62 MPH in just 3.8 seconds.
The latest model to be release to the market, the Cayenne Platinum Edition benefits from the addition of several previously non-standard options such as, LED Main Headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), a panorama roof system which is now standard for the Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne E-Hybrid models. Bose® Surround Sound System, Ambient Lighting, Porsche Crest on the headrests and analogue clock on the dashboard. The new Cayenne Platinum Edition offers the complete package.

*Data determined in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) as required by law. You can find more information on WLTP at www.porsche.com/wltp . For Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) range and Equivalent All Electric Range (EAER) figures are determined with the battery fully charged, using a combination of both battery power and fuel.
Values are provided for comparison only. To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
