The Taycan Cross Turismo has now arrived at our Centre and we are excited to be able to showcase the newest model in the Taycan range. With a larger boot space and more room, the Taycan Cross Turismo is a great car for everyday usability, and is completely electric.
To address some of the questions we have been asked about all-electric Porsche models, we have put together this handy list of FAQ’s. If we have missed off one of the questions you are keen to know about the Taycan range, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Are all Taycans Electric?
Yes – the electric Porsche concept started out as “Mission E”, but they chose the name Taycan for their first all-electric Porsche.
How many seats does a Taycan have?
The Taycan has 4 seats and there is plenty of room in the rear cabin. Especially if you opt for the latest in the model range, the Cross Turismo which has a higher roof for more cabin space and room for luggage in the boot.
Where is the Taycan made?
The electric Porsche is built in the Zuffenhausen plant in Germany. The iconic 911 is also built here, so hopefully this will foreshadow the success and popularity of the Tacyan.
How fast is the Taycan?
The Taycan Turbo S goes from 0-62 in 2.8 seconds. The interesting thing to know about the 0-62 speed is that the Taycan will consistently hit 2.8 seconds every time, even in quick succession. The Taycan Turbo S can also reach a top speed of 162 mph.
Which Taycan has the longest range?
The base model, two-wheel drive, Taycan has the longest estimated range out of the Taycan model line with an estimated combined range of 220 - 268 miles. When fitted with a Performance Battery Plus, this estimate goes up to between 253 - 301 miles.
What is Performance Battery Plus?
The Performance Battery Plus increases the power of the Taycan and also increases the amount of range the car can hold. On the entry-level Taycan, the battery is a single-deck with a gross capacity of 79.2 kWh as opposed to a two-deck in the Performance Battery Plus which has 93.4 kWh gross capacity.

To the extent that fuel and energy consumption or CO₂ values are given as ranges, these do not relate to a single, individual car and do not constitute part of the offer. Optional features and accessories can change relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics which may result in a change in fuel or energy consumption and CO₂ values. Vehicle loading, topography, weather and traffic conditions, as well as individual driving styles, can all affect the actual fuel consumption, energy consumption, electrical range, and CO₂ emissions of a car.
