The Cayenne has always been a well-rounded Porsche model that can deliver on style, performance, power and comfort. This popular model is just at home on the school run as it is on the track as proven recently by test driver Lars Kern, who has set a new record in the Cayenne.
Lars completed full lap of the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife over a distance of 20.832 kilometres in just 7:38.925 minutes. In a lightly camouflaged series production car based on the Cayenne Turbo Coupé, Lars has set a new record in the 'SUV, off-road vehicle, van, pick-up' category.
The test driver spoke of how the Cayenne is a “real driver's car” after and praised the Cayenne for its diverse set of abilities. “Its record time on the Nordschleife confirms the dynamic capabilities of our new performance SUV. Furthermore, it's a typical Cayenne all-rounder, providing a high degree of driving comfort and everyday utility.”
The production Cayenne that broke the record was more systematically designed for maximum longitudinal and lateral dynamics, but the new performance model of the Cayenne series has proven its dynamic potential ahead of its launch.
