Third place in Porsche Classic Partner Video Competition

17/8/2018

We are delighted to announce that Porsche Centre Swindon has placed third for a film submitted to an international Porsche Classic competition.

Porsche Centre Swindon entered the Porsche Classic Partner Movie Competition with a short film which explores the work that takes place at Porsche Classic Life at Bicester Heritage.

The moving film, Passion Restored, tells the story of a man and his Porsche growing old together and how, by taking his beloved car to Porsche Classic Life, he was able to relive his youth by restoring the car to its former glory. The narrator reads an emotive poem written by Matthew Arnold which accompanies images of the restoration of the classic 911 T, concluding with the car bursting back to life on a race track.

Stephen Brown, manager of Porsche Classic Life, and Lucy Hawkins, Dick Lovett Group Digital Marketing Manager, were at Nürburgring, Germany to collect the prize from motor racing legend Derek Bell. The competition was won by Porsche Classic Centre Gelderland, with Porsche Centre Niederrhein second.

Lucy said “To secure third place is incredible. It was great to get positive feedback from the judges but, more importantly to us, it’s fantastic to have a creative film to showcase our exceptional services at Porsche Classic Life at Bicester Heritage.”

Porsche Classic Life  is the only official standalone facility in the UK to focus solely on Porsche Classic, providing a range of services from buying and selling classic models to parts, servicing and repairs.
